A Guide for Recovery and Disposition of Oil Debris from M/T Solar 1 was developed by Petron Corporation and approved by the Environment and Natural Resources Office of the Provincial Government (PG-ENRO). This document serves as the protocol on safety, retrieval from site, staging area, transport and disposition of recovered oil and debris to be strictly followed by the cleanup teams.

Petron has come to terms with a company to provide a Landing Craft Tanker (LCT) that will be moored in the pier of Brgy. Cabalagnan. The LCT will serve as the temporary storage of collected oil and debris from the different cleanup sites and will ship the contents to its final disposal destination.

Petron is also finalizing arrangements with contractors to provide at least five (5) dump trucks to collect all the collected oil and debris from the different cleanup sites and transfer them to the LCT. The dump trucks are expected to be in Guimaras by September 1, Friday.
